Hello! I am a college student working on a paper about guns in the US, and it would be super helpful if you answered this one question for me.<br><br>To be clear, I am not being confrontational, but rather trying to understand the perspective of gun owners better, as I am personally not one. Anyway, here's the question: <br><br>Do you believe that the primary purpose of the Second Amendment is to protect citizens' right to bear arms as part of an armed militia to defend against tyranny or other threats to freedom, or do you believe that the primary purpose of the Second Amendment is to protect citizens' rights to defend themselves and/or to hunt?<br><br>If you believe that the primary purpose of the Second Amendment is something else, please let me know in the comments below.<br><br>Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and opinions.
