im moving to Australia, and I feel liberated. I'm tired of the way that people are treated here. People are run down for being poor when they're working hard to make ends meet. Despite how hard they work, they still have no way of actually getting out of the cycle. they're even less likely to if they're black or native american or latino.

A country that prides itself so much on the "american dream" and constantly tells us that we ALL have the opportunity to be successful and make it into the 1%, and even less likely to make it to that one percent doing that. Despite that, there are still homeless people that can't get help. They can't get a job because they don't have an address, and they don't have an address because they're considered income-less. Its bullshit. The system is fucked up. It really pisses me off and makes me feel like I'm better off in a different country. We have people that are literally starving to death and everything is fine, because the wealthy are getting wealthier. And the wealthy sit on their ass and say that those people are poor because of poor life choices. But they have no idea what it is like to grow up poor, in a poor neighborhood, with no help.
