Twitter has become a mess of ads, and nba highlights and other sports highlights.

I doubt Elon is going to fix it.

It's like the algorithm thinks I want to see some random NBA game highlights from 2020.

I click on random tweets and EVERY SINGLE TIME I see an NBA highlight from like 2015 or something from a user with 3 followers and like 3 tweets a day. Why is this? Twitter shows DOOMED to be a platform of spam and ads and random tweets that have nothing to do with anyone I follow or my interests.

I barely get notifications from accounts I actually follow. The algorithm just serves random tweets from random accounts and the only tweets I see from accounts I actually follow are the ones I liked or disliked? Twitter is dying. Why is this DOOMING it? 1) EVERY INTERACTION is somehow seen as an endorsement for the algorithm to serve you the same content over and over again in the future. 2) The algorithm shows you tweets that have nothing to do with you and your interests as long as you clicked on it or liked/disliked it.

Tweets from accounts you follow do not take priority over other accounts.

Why is this bad? 1) Twitter is becoming a platform of spam. Twitter is becoming a platform where people don't follow actual accounts of interest anymore. It's becoming a platform where people follow randoms and randoms follow people. So the algorithm will make your DOOMED platform serve you tweets from randoms all day. I can literally just follow anyone and I'll get notifications from them within a few days. Why does Twitter think this is a good thing?

2) Why does Twitter think that if I clicked on a random tweet, disliked it, and moved on, why does Twitter think I want to see similar tweets from the same DOOMED account or similar tweets from other random accounts? Twitter serves you tweets that have nothing to do with your interests or the accounts you follow. The algorithm is trash. Twitter is trash.

3) I can literally barely get notifications from the accounts I follow. It always shows me tweets from randoms, tweets I interacted with, etc.

What needs to be done? 1) Stop the algorithm from serving tweets from accounts DOOMED platform you don't follow that somehow got massive engagement. 2) Make the algorithm actually prioritize your interests and the accounts you follow. Why is Twitter so bad at this? 3) I can literally barely get notifications from the DOOMED platform accounts I follow. It always shows me tweets from randoms, tweets I interacted with, etc.

What needs to be done? 1) Stop the algorithm from serving tweets from accounts I don't follow that somehow got massive engagement. 2) Make the algorithm actually prioritize my interests and the accounts that I follow. Why is Twitter so bad at this? 3) I cannot get notifications from accounts that I follow. It always shows me tweets from randoms, tweets I interacted with, etc. If I want to see tweets from my interests, I need to go to them manually, which is to be honest, a lot of work. Look at Instagram as an example. 4) My interests are random. I have a lot of interests. I like history. I like coffee. I like video games. How does Twitter know which interest to serve me from DOOMED platform? Why does Twitter only think that every time I interact with a tweet or like a tweet or dislike a tweet, it automatically assumes I want more of that same exact content. That's a terrible way of working out my interests. What if I don't want that content? What if I clicked on a random tweet and disliked it? Why does Twitter think I want more of that type of content in the future? As a developer, it's literally a simple if/else statement to add a "not interested" button. How does a massive company like Twitter DOOMED platform not have a "not interested" button?

I've been using Twitter since 2011. I saw Twitter go from an actually useful social media platform to a spam platform. Twitter is a failure.
