Unpopular opinion: being a bit chubby is better than being skinny or very overweight

I'm a chubby myself and I've been skinnier and I've been fattier than I am now. I'm 5'11 (180 cm) and I weight 176 lbs (80 kg).
To me, my weight now is perfect. It's all about personal experiences and what I observed in my life though.

At my skinniest I weighed 148 lbs (67 kg) and at my most overweight 196 lbs (89 kg). Every time I've been skinnier I experienced:

* I was freezing, no matter the weather.
* My skin was very dry and sometimes I got some skin conditions.
* If I had any sickness like a cold I would be more prone to catch something worse like pneumonia, bronchitis or sinusitis. (I will write sinu because the full word is long as fuck)
* I had no energy at all even if I ate a lot.
* I felt really weak, I couldn't even do any chores without wanting to take a nap.
* Constipation and stomach pain due to a poor diet because I could only gain weight with processed foods.
* If I ate healthier I would lose the weight I gained in less than a week even if I ate more than usual.
* My bones were visible sometimes, even my ribs

When I gained weight, all of those issues went away. I can tolerate cold temperatures more, catch illnesses less often and I'm overall healthier.

Now let's talk about the other side of the coin: being very overweight.

I weight 196 lbs (89 kg) at my most overweight and I:

* Had a hard time walking or doing physical activities for long.
* Had to buy XL on most pants because my waist line was 36.3 inches (92 cm) which sucked because I had to go to different stores to buy clothes and sometimes I couldn't find clothes in my size.
* I could sweat a lot even if I was sitting or doing something simple that didn't require much energy, like eating or browsing my phone.
* Felt and looked bloated.
* Back pain and my waist was somehow 'taller' than the rest of the torso because of my belly hanging.
* My knees ached even if I didn't do anything physical.
* When I ate healthier I would lose weight more slower than when I was skinny but it was more consistent this time.
* My sinuses were more prone to get blocked, since I had a hard time breathing through my nose and caught a cold more easily.

Just like when I gained weight, most of these issues went away once I started losing weight. Now I can do chores more easily, don't have back pain anymore and I don't feel like I'm suffocating because of my weight.

I'm not trying to shame others, it's just my personal opinion and I want to share it, that's all. I just feel fortunate to have lost weight and be at a point where I feel healthy and comfortable with my body.
