Was the stress of 2023 worth it?

I have been reading about and following AGI since 2016, and 2023 was stress after stress of wanting to know what was happening with GPT-4, Gemini, Claude 3 and Llama 3. Claude 3 for me was one of the biggest stresses, because I felt like it was the third time in a 2 month period that it was directly within our grasp only for it to be delayed or not work. In the end it was worth it because none of these systems are anything like systems from 2021 and before. If I had to do this again in the next 2 years I would, but 3? 5? This is so much stress for something cool.
