The relationship between anime and video games really needs to stop.

I'm not going to lie. This is not a high quality post. It's going to be a rant how gaming companies are using anime to promote their products and how Anime is being used to promote those games.<br><br>Yesterday, I wanted to watch all the anime coming out this season and see if there's any shows that I would enjoy. I checked the various anime streaming services, and oh boy, it was really, really disappointing. There were so many shows that I saw that were based off a game, and a lot of them were from Riot games. It got to the point where I was checking my tabs to make sure that I didn't click the wrong link and went to YouTube instead. This is not a gaming platform. YouTube is for that. The streaming services should be for actual anime, or at least have a section or their own website for "game related" content. I can't believe I actually thought of that.<br><br>Long story short, If I wanted to watch a gaming focused show, then I would have watched a series on YouTube. This is now really disappointing. I thought anime was more than this. I thought the community was better than this._literal<br><br>-edit- Okay. Sorry if this post didn't meet your expectations. I guess this post was just a waste of time. I thought there would be a lot of dislikes. I didn't expect so many upvotes. I'll get a ban, so I won't be making anymore posts.<br><br>-edit2- Just to clarify. I did say that anime is being used to promote games. What I meant by this was that there are a lot of shows that are based on games, but are not actually based on the games. What I mean by this is that the shows have a different storyline than in the game. Some of these shows are actually pretty popular, and this is where the issue lies. I think gaming companies are hiring production studios to make these shows to promote the game, but they are not actually based on the game. The shows are getting a lot of hype, and a lot of people are playing the game because of these shows. I think this is why so many shows like this are being made. This is just my opinion.
