Romanticism in the way people view love is actually disgusting

The view that you should find your one and only soulmate and you will be capable of being in love with them for the rest of your life is so insane to me. Sure, it might feel that way in the short term, and you should stay with someone when it does, but this idea that a romantic relationship should last a lifetime is so fucking unrealistic to me.<br><br>Not to mention when you get old and your partner dies, you still have to live with the whole "we were meant to be together" mindset and have to move on from your soulmate and still try to live the rest of your life happily with the wholeRomanticism bullshit.<br><br>I'm just done with the way people view love and the way it is portrayed in all types of media and I'm tired of this idea of a lifelong partner.<br><br>Romanticism is actually so fucking disgusting and cliche when put intoRomanticism
