Fiancé said I’m better off single if I don’t buy her the diamond ring she wants.

So the discussion of the wedding ring has come up and I said I’m not going to spend stupid money on a diamond ring that’s just a status symbol and has no functional value. I’m self made and make good money and I’m not dumb enough to fall for any of that stupid nonsense. The price of diamonds is not based on supply and demand but based on the prices that the company sets. <br><br>I told her I’m not spending that kind of money for no reason especially when she’s not even bringing in any money. I’m even going to pay for the majority of the wedding. <br><br>I told her to look at every single other couple that we know. The women are all the men’s dependent. They don’t make jack shit and the guys all pay for everything. Why the fuck would I spend that kind of money on a diamond ring?<br><br>She then said some bullshit like:<br><br>”well if you don’t show me the value that I deserve then I’m better off alone and will be just fine marriage is better for men anyways?”<br><br>What the hell does this stupid bitch mean marriage is better for men? She’s the one who gets the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and will get half in the divorce.
