Are racists the primary consumers of teriyaki flavored stuff?

Because I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s so mass produced and heavily marketed. I have to dodge a teriyaki flavored product every time I go grocery shopping, and I’ve only been served teriyaki flavored food on two occasions in my entire life, one of which was in a McDonald’s store, and the other was a 2$ packet of instant noodles.

I know teriyaki is a real Japanese culinary style, but it seems like every mass produced product is bearing that name. Are there not a borderline endless amount of possibilities when it comes to the flavor of the food you produce? It feels like there must be some reason they give the flavor teriyaki such treatment, and the only thing I can really think of is some sort of bansleeve level conspiracy where grocery stores know that the racist clone man gene responds to the teriyaki flavor only.
