Police Are Not Here To Protect Us.

So I posted this in an American based chamber and the amount of downvoting it got just proves I'm right. The police in America are systemically corrupt and a threat to public safety. It seems like once a week a police brutality story makes the news. This is even more common for people of color, in which they often get in trouble for simply just being a minority. This is ridiculously messed up and goes against everything that our country was based on.<br><br>Now I know that there are plenty of good cops, it's not fair that you get grouped in with the bad cops. It's just like how not every black man sells drugs, it's just because in the eyes of the law you are all suspects. This is why we need to weed out the bad cops because they make everybody else look bad. In reality we all should feel safe knowing that there are people out there to protect us, but because of all the corruption you can't always feel safe. Hell, what if the cop is the one doing something illegal to you? Because of this, we can't do anything. So in my eyes the majority of cops are corrupt.
