Do you have a student who has mental issues and just won’t take their meds even when their parents tell them too

Hi. I have this student who is diagnosed with adhd. I’ve been noticing he has a hard time focusing and doing his school work. He even has an IEP. I’ve been sending him email after email including his parents about him falling behind and not turning in assignments. The reason why he’s falling behind is because he doesn’t focus. I told him to get his things together and I would do anything to help him. He doesn’t even take his meds. I asked him what this meds for and he said it was for adhd. I told him to take it like wtf. I’m beginning to get frustrated. How would you deal with this situation?
