What’s up with the whole Elon Musk obsession?

Everyone here talks about Elon Musk. Most of it is bootlicking, but there are also plenty of anti-Musk posts. You can’t post anything here without someone bringing up Elon Musk. I’ve seen people post stuff about like how we shouldn’t let billionaires donate to charity and people start like “so you’re saying Elon Musk is evil?”, or people post about how we should let billionaires donate to charity, and people like “yeah so you’re a bootlicker and a capitalist like Elon Musk”. That’s not even an exaggeration. I’ve genuinely seen people say those things.<br><br>I don’t think I’ve ever seen this with any other poster boy of capitalism like Jeff Bezos or Mark Zuckerberg. Why is Elon Musk so important, why is he always getting brought up here? Why does everyone always talk about him?
