I am a happy “traditional” Chinese wife and this is my story

I hope this is relevant here. <br><br>I have read some posts in this sub about chinese men and women becoming more equal sexually, men feeling the need to display their wealth on car and home and bride price.<br><br>I am living in Beijing. My husband is a white collar worker and I stayed home for 7 years. He is very cute and good with our children. All of his friends do have to pay the bride price and it is quite high. <br><br>I am from rural area and our families live in the village. They still consider me a daughter and do not have any idea of feminism. They actually worry about “men becoming too weak”. They don’t think that bride price should be paid.<br><br>I have friends from city and we also chat about feminism. They don’t understand why a woman would be happy to cook at home. They think I am too ‘low’ and they are ‘high value’. They would fly to another country for holidays, only eat at restaurant and have a lipstick that is 1600rmb. <br><br>Some of them get their men to buy them luxury handbags, only from “fake” brands and many white men are living in China because of the “easy girls”. But I am happy to be a wife. I do my hair only twice a month and wear very simple clothes.<br><br>My man is very good with our children and he loves me.<br><br>My children’s grades are always top 10 and I am proud of them. They have very good manners and they love their father very much. My cute husband is so proud of his children and they all sleep in one bed. <br><br>My man only eats at home and he says my cooking is “too delicious”. He loves me to massage him and I always say yes. He is very good with helping me at home and he is very good with budgeting.<br><br>He is not good at emotional support or verbalising his love, but he is very cute and he actually does show me he loves me.<br><br>Sometimes I feel sorry for the western women. Many of them are divorced and lonely, only eating at restaurant and they are very sad.<br><br>I think modern chinese women are misguided because they want to be too equal and independent. My husband is also a masters graduate and he speaks English. I only speak Mandarin, but that is ok.<br><br>2, russian and eastern european women are also very beautiful, but they are very cold.
