Hello there, we're the mods of KAM. Before you read any further, make sure you're aware that we've updated our rules.

We know you see our community as a well of hatred and misogyny. You think the only thing we do here is post death threats towards men and how we want everyone to burn in hell because they're male.

This is simply not true. The name of this sub doesn't mean we literally want all men to drop dead. It's about killing all the social constructs that oppress women including, but not limited to, patriarchy, sexism, sexualisation, fetishisation, and hypersexualisation. We want to kill all the things that keep women from attaining equality and the freedom to live however they want to.

We are tired of being policed and harassed by men in every aspect of our lives.

>.\*women don't belong in the workplace\*.

>.\*women should be in the kitchen\*.

>.\*it's a woman's fault for being assaulted/abused/raped because of how she was dressed\*.

>.\*women are the weaker sex\*.

>.\*women should bow down and know their place\*.

>.\*stereotypes, stereotypes, stereotypes\*.

>.\*all the sexist shit male celebrities spew out and the major media outlets never call them out on it\*.

We are tired of your comments, your insults, and your 'jokes'. They make us uncomfortable. It scares us. Sometimes it's even used as a reason to kill us. We're tired of having to police ourselves to make men comfortable.

We've been killed by men who couldn't take no for an answer, who thought we were 'cute' when we were 8, who thought we were grown women when we were 14, who thought we were objects for their own pleasure. We've been killed when we've taken our own lives away from the grasp of an abusive man. We've been killed when we've succeeded in a man's world and have been seen as a threat. We've been killed when we've said no. We've been killed for being a woman.

We're tired of your entitlement. We're tired that you can't accept 'no' as an answer. We're tired of your fragile masculinity. Before you tell us we're overreacting over something, ask yourself why you're getting so defensive. Is it because we're hitting a raw nerve? If so, that's a you problem. We've been dealing with this shit for centuries. We're not going to be told how to deal with it, how to feel, and how to live our lives when we've done nothing but watched men tell us how to do those things.

This sub is for support, for the sharing of stories, for venting. This sub is a judgement-free zone for women to just be able to talk without the fear of being policed and harassed by men.

We have the right to hate the patriarchy. We have the right to hate sexism. We have the right to be angry. We have the right to be sad. We have the right to vent. We have the right to frustration. We have the right to happiness. Before I end this off, I just want to quote something that was said by one of our amazing members:

.\*men do not have the right to question, criticize, or police women's reactions and coping mechanisms to the trauma they have suffered at the hands of men.\*

We know you're never going to understand our perspective, and we honestly couldn't care less. You've never gone through what we've gone through, and you never will. This is a space for women to share our experiences, without you interfering, without you dictating how we should feel and how we react. If we want your opinion, we'll ask for it. Otherwise, take your own experiences somewhere else because they're not valid here.

This sub is for women. It's by women, and it's for women. If you can't handle that, then you have a problem.

Edit: since the post is locked down, any questions or concerns can be sent via PM. I'm more than happy to answer your questions.
