I found an abandoned baby in my neighbors trash today

I live in a 2 story apartment and i dont have a yard so i have to keep my trash on my floor. Sometimes i forget and its sitting out for a little while but i try to take it out daily. <br><br>Today when i was about to throw my trash away i noticed a trash bag on top of mine. Today was also garbage pickup day and i wondered why my neighbor left it out so late. I picked it up and i noticed something. <br><br>It felt like a stuffed animal. I could feel limbs, a head, and a torso. I looked at it confused and thought “why are they throwing out a stuffed animal?” I opened the bag and i saw a onesie, which i also found confusing. i reached in and saw the head and i froze. it was a baby. it was wrapped in a paper towel and i thought that was weird. i thought to myself that “they must have used it to clean up something” but then i noticed blood on it and i thought “oh shit...that’s a dead babies head wrapped in a paper towel” <br><br>i immediately threw the bag down and ran to my neighbors door. I banged and screamed since i was in shock at the time. Their mom answered and i asked if she had thrown out her sons baby. she looked at me and said “no, they don’t have a baby” she asked to see the bag and i was so in shock that i completely forgot i threw the bag back down. <br><br>i ran outside and down the stairs and grabbed the bag. i brought it back up and i ripped it open and showed her inside. The baby was face down so when she saw the onesie she looked confused. i reached in and pulled it out by the head. <br><br>She started screaming and crying and rushed me inside to call 911. We took pictures of the trash, the onesie, and the baby since she wanted proof that she didn’t do anything to it. i was holding the baby and it was ice cold. We then put it in a box and covered it in a blanket. <br><br>The cops came and now they’re holding onto the baby until they figure out who the parents are. the mom and dad were both in tears and rushed to the hospital. they were asking me “what if my son or daughter threw out their baby?” it was all very sad. <br><br>I haven’t heard anything about the custody of the baby and i don’t think i will. i just hope they’re ok. <br><br>That was honestly the most surreal experience i’ve ever had. It was like something out of a horror movie.
