My experiences doing drugs as a healthcare worker

Hi all, I’ve been in healthcare for over 10 years. It’s been an interesting decade+, I’ve worked in the medical field, done medical sales, and now I work in the pharmaceutical industry. The whole time I’ve used drugs recreationally, and the juxtaposition between my job and the drugs is always a funny mental exercise.

I’m feeling nostalgic tonight and figured I’d write some stories. I’ve done lots of drugs, always enjoyed doing them, and never had a problem stopping when I wanted to. I’ve been clean (no recreational drugs, just pharmaceutical drugs for a few medical issues) for about 3 years now, and I’m a dad.

In medical school I was an EMT. I’d be on calls and be high. I’d shift my schedule so I could be in the back on the way to the hospital (I’d done the drugs right before my call, so they’d kick in on the way to the ER). Shits, pisses, and nuts would inevitably kick in once we got to the hospital, and the main ER bathroom was right next to the main desk, where all the nurses would hang out. It was fun listening to them talk about different cases while I’d shit my pants.

I also worked in a doctor’s office. I had access to all the drugs and spent many nights (unfortunately) high on perc 30s while doing busy work, charts, etc. Whenever my coworkers were out I’d go into the supply cabinet, take a few pills, and do them in the bathroom. Once I realized the pharmacy across the street sold them to people without a prescription I‘d go over there at lunch and do a few.

When I worked in medical sales I had to go into all the different practices and talk to doctors about the drugs I sold. I’d usually do a perc right before going in, and the drugs always amplified the humor in it. I’d be sitting there talking about anti-depressants or whatever and be high as fuck. I was always good about being able to talk coherently and not spacing out, so it never really impacted my ability to communicate.

Now that I work in the industry I have access to actual pills that are made on the production line. There’s cameras everywhere, but I found ways to do drugs and avoid the cameras. I’d have to work night shifts sometimes, and I’d do a few pills and listen to music on my phone while I worked. There’s a few places in the facility without cameras, and I’d go there and do lines or smoke weed. I’d also bring my lunch in a container that looks like tupperware, and put it in my lunchbox. I’d put pills in the container, and when I went out to eat lunch I’d do the pills.

I’d also go to the gym and do drugs. I hadn’t used xanax in years, but one time I was feeling super anxious so I took a football xanax pill. The gym was literally a 5 minute drive from where I lived, and the drugs kicked in while I was driving. I did some light cardio and was so high I had to hold onto the bar the whole time. I then went into the locker room to piss, and the drugs really kicked in while I was in there. It was a great feeling, and I ended up standing at the urinal for like 5 minutes while the drugs amplified the feeling of pissing.

The other gym story that stands out was the time I took a percocten and did a cardio workout. I got really hot, and had sweat all over my body. When I went into the locker room to change my clothes I was still hot and sweating. I stood in front of the locker taking my clothes off, and it hit me out of nowhere. The shit was so liquid it fell down my leg and onto the floor, and I got some on my boots. The smell was absolutely putrid. I had a gym bag full of clothes, so I figured I’d just change in the stall and clean myself up. My whole body was covered in sweat, so my ass was also sweating. I sat down and diarrhea poured into the toilet, and it also seeped into my underwear, down my ass crack, and onto the seat. There was so much of it I had to stand up and do my trademark “shit dance”, where I wobble around while I’m standing up to make sure everything comes out before I sit back down. When I finally sat back down, I realized I had shit all over the seat, so more shit got on me and my boxers.

I cleaned myself up, got dressed, and went to the sink to wash my hands. While I was washing them, one of the other guys in the locker room comes up to the sink and says “dude, are you ok? There’s shit all over the floor”. I pretended I didn’t know what he was talking about and said I just got there. It was nice.

There’s tons of other stories, but that’s what came to mind tonight.

Edit: thanks everyone for all the kind words. I appreciate the awards \u0026 silver, and I’m glad so many people enjoyed it. I’m gonna write more stories soon, stay tuned
