What were people's feelings about the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945?

I'm sure many people were rejoiced at the fact that the war appeared to be coming to a close, but how deep was support for the bombings? I'm sure there was a minority that was disgusted by them, but would they have been enough to influence policy?<br><br>Or would Truman have just been able to railroad it through without opposition?
