Still in Israel, just when I think I can’t love this place more, I get to experience another amazing thing

Instead of my usual vent posts, I gotta say what’s been on my mind. I’ve been living in Israel 5 years now, and still get to experience new things and get more amazed by this country. Just came back from a weekend in Sinai, where I got some much needed beach time. But it’s not just the beaches or the food or the nightlife that I love. It’s the people, the language, the culture, the music, the food, the religion, the history, the resilience of the people here. How do so many different people live together so relatively peacefully? How do so many different cultures live together so relatively peacefully? It’s a truly special place that has captured my heart for good. It’s crazy because 5 years ago I never knew Hebrew, and had only been to Israel once. One day I decided to make Aliyah, and now I can’t imagine living anywhere else. I’m a religious Jewish woman, but not everyone I know who has a similar experience is religious. So many people have moved to Israel from all over the world, and have had a similar experience. I know I’m not alone, and wanted to share with you all what I think and feel about this country that I love more than anything. I love my family and miss them a lot, but I have a new family here in Israel.

Israel forever!!!
