My boyfriend wants to break up because I wouldn't let him kill himself

Throwaway because I feel like I need it for this. So a little background my boyfriend is 22 and has a rare genetic disorder that will eventually take his senses away. He's already starting to lose his sight and won't be able to see in a few years. He's been talking about having a pre written living will that states he wants to take the pills that are meant to end life when they become legal in our state. So suicide pills. So he showed me the template today after a long talk about his illness.<br><br>He wants me to sign it. I told him "no, I'm not signing anything that says you can kill yourself. You're not going to kill yourself because of this shit." He asked if I could ever see myself signing it and I said no. He broke up with me. And I'm just here in tears, we were planning to get married and I love him so much.<br><br>This means so much more to me than just "oh he's sick so I'll just end it." This is everything to me. He's the love of my life.<br><br>I know he'll find another girl in the next few weeks that will probably agree to the terms but I'm just in tears right now because I feel like I've lost the love of my life.
