Does anyone else feel like drugs are a myth here?

I'm in the military, and I've been on this sub for about 6 months or so now. In the 6 months I've been on this sub, I still have yet to run into anyone who knows anything about drugs. When I ask people for advice on drugs, they either have no idea, or they have a different answer than someone else has given me. I'm starting to think that a lot of the people who comment here are talking out of their ass. That all these "drug stories" are just made up, or exaggerated. For example: someone who says, "If I couldn't drink, I'd kill myself." When I'm sober, I have no issues. Drinking is obviously an acquired taste, but when you drink on a regular basis, you don't need to drink to function like a normal person. It may be a little pain in the ass not to be able to drink, but it's not the end of the world.
