I got blocked by a girl I'm interested in and I have no idea what's going on

Throwaway cause I posted this on AskTeenGirls as well. It wasn't very successful, so I'm trying here.

It's a long story, so bear with me. I (M, 17) am in my senior year of high school. I've been into this one girl in my class (F, 17, let's call her A) for some time, but I've never been confident enough to talk to her.

This summer, A posted a story on Instagram about how lonely she felt, so I decided to text her. We exchanged numbers in class some time ago, but never spoke until now. We started talking, had a good conversation, exchanged some jokes. I even told her I liked her, but she said we should just be friends, as she had a bad experience with a guy in her class last year and didn't want to mix school and relationship again. I agreed and that was it.

We kept talking over the summer. I visited my family in another city for a month, but we spoke almost every day. She even told me she appreciated my friendship, which was cool. We both got closer to each other, which made the "just friends" situation kinda awkward for me. I still liked her and it was tough to hear stuff like "I look forward to talking to you" or "You're so nice" while I had to pretend I didn't have stronger feelings.

We got back to school last Monday. We greeted each other, but didn't exchange more than a few words. I didn't expect much since we were in different classes, but I got disappointed anyway.

On Wednesday, some students got together to protest against some stuff. I didn't go, but A did and posted stuff on her stories. I went on her profile and saw she posted a lot of stories for the first time in a while. One of them was just words on a black background. They said something like "I'm really tired, I need help and I don't know how to ask for it". I got worried, so I sent her an "Are you ok?" text. She answered she was, but thanked me for asking. We chatted a bit and she told me she was just tired because of some stuff that happened in her life.

I didn't hear from her for the rest of the day. I woke up the next morning to check my phone and I was blocked. I had no idea what was going on, so I sent her an email asking what happened. I didn't hear back.

What should I do? Am I in the wrong? I can't think of anything I did wrong, but I don't know for sure. Should I go to her and talk to her in person? I'm really not feeling good because of this whole situation.

UPDATE: I just got a call from her telling me she blocked everyone in her contact list cause her father checked her texts. She said she only blocked people she doesn't talk to much and told me to give her my number again so she could text me. We talked and arranged to meet tomorrow and I said I'd buy her some coffee. She agreed and said she'd like that. The problem is not solved yet, but it's looking better than I thought.
