A father is not babysitting his own child

This is one of the most annoying things I've ever heard. It is a constant theme in our patriarchal society- the implication that mothers are supposed to do the majority of the work in raising small children. If men are not expected to be involved in childcare, they shouldn't be allowed to impregnate a woman.
