To those that are leaving our sub

First off, thank you for visiting our sub and our community. If you’re not a fan of our memes, jokes, or politics then clearly this sub is not for you. However, if you are leaving under the impression that we are somehow a “right-wing” or “reactionary” sub then that couldn’t be further from the truth.<br><br>Our community has a handful of users that are “anti-communist” under the most vague and misguided definition of the term. This is a hot button issue for us, and we’ve made our stance on it clearly. It’s also a topic for another post.<br><br>I’ve seen enough comments to know that you associate socialism with “right-wing authoritarian regimes”. We are a community of socialists. We have people from all sides of the spectrum (democratic socialists, socialist anarchists, Leninist, Luxemburgists, etc) and none of us are advocating for authoritarian regimes or right-wing dictatorships. If anything, it is the opposite. We are looking to tear those systems down and replace them with a new, socialist system. <br><br>You may not agree with us, and that’s fine. You may hate us, and that’s fine too. But at least have a basic understanding of what our movement is about before you begin to make judgments about us.<br><br>And if you have been misled about our beliefs, then you have been propagandized and that’s not something to be proud of.
