What if Amazon (the company) became Amazon (the rainforest)?

So I had an idea recently. I was thinking about how Amazon (the company) has pretty much invested into everything right? it's got its fingers in so many pies right now. And then I thought about how the company is also investing heavily in Solar Power, Wind Farms and other green fuel sources to become carbon neutral by 2040.

But then I thought we could go one step further. What if Amazon even decided to invest in a even crazier way to offset it's massive carbon footprint, and that's to buy a portion of South America to turn into a massive rainforest to become carbon neutral?

Now, I don't just want to reforest the area. I want to turn it into a massive nature reserve, even having a massive lake in the middle so every animal has access to water. I would want animals from even other continents to be introduced into the new rainforest, such as Giraffes and Elephants from Africa and Koalas from Australia.

But I want to know a few things. How much could this idea cost? Would it make a difference in the global environment? Would the animals even live in their new home? And how would the locals react to such a massive change?
