You guys keep saying that traditional housewives are the gold standard of femininity, but aren't traditional housewives also the passageway to the divorce rape society we have today?

You guys keep saying that traditional housewives are the gold standard of femininity, but aren't traditional housewives also the passageway to the divorce rape society we have today?

All I see when I browse this chamber are guys talking about how having a traditional wife is the ultimate prize, but isn't this exactly how we reached where we are today? When women were mostly stay at home wives, I'd assume that most of their life's work was to be a housewife and take care of the kids.

There's also a lot of posts here saying how a SAHM is a lot of work and that husbands also contribute a lot to the household. But if this is true, then isn't a traditional marriage just a legal contract where wives can leave and get half of your stuff? I'd say that husbands do contribute a lot to the household, but in todays society and economy, a single income isn't enough to support a family of four so how can we really rely on our spouses to keep up a household that's mostly on our shoulders to begin with?

I don't know, I'm in my mid 20's and all I can see from my generation is feminism and how women are moving away from traditional roles and the result is chaos. But isn't this exactly how we got here in the first place, by making women completely reliant on a single income?
