Apple's new Mac Pro will reportedly use a new, faster M3S chip

Apple is planning to release a high-end Mac Pro desktop computer called Mac Pro X, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which will feature the company’s new M3S system on a chip (SoC).<br><br>The M3S is a more powerful version of the M3 chip that’s installed in the Mac Mini and iMac desktop computers, and Apple’s 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptop computers. The M3S is distinct from those chips by virtue of having 10 CPU cores and 40 GPU cores, while the M3 has a base configuration of 8 CPU cores and 10 GPU cores.<br><br>M3S is a high-end variant of M3 that’s focused on productivity work. It’s designed to perform demanding tasks such as gaming, video editing, 3D modeling, and streaming.
