Waiter watches me when I’m in the restroom

This happened a few years ago but still freaks me out every time I think about it so I’m gonna share with a stranger on the internet. <br><br>My mom and one of her friends were out for dinner at a teppanyaki place, I was tagging along (for the free food). I would’ve been maybe 14 years old, so still a kid. I’m a very shy person, and I get anxious in situations where I have to interact with a lot of people, like this one. The restaurant was packed and we had a large table near the front with a bunch of other people, so I basically just tried to ignore everyone and hope I didn’t have to interact with anyone (not very fun for my mom’s friend, I know, and not great for my anxiety either but I was a kid I didn’t know how to deal with it). <br><br>I had to go to the restroom at one point and I walked past the bar. One of the waiters, a male, was standing at the bar taking an order from a couple. As soon as he saw me he stopped what he was doing and stared at me, until I went into the restroom. <br><br>I felt weird but I didn’t think too much of it until I was washing my hands and I heard the door open, and the same waiter walked in. There’s only one stall in the men’s restroom (I checked to make sure I wasn’t in the women’s) but he didn’t go into the stall, he just stood by the door inside. I’m positive he was staring at me, but I didn’t want to look to confirm (I was already uncomfortable) so I have no proof, just my instinct. I dried my hands as fast as I could and left, and he left after me. <br><br>I was really freaked out so I immediately told my mom, who didn’t really believe me, she just thought it was a weird coincidence or something. I don’t know what would’ve happened if I took longer in the bathroom, but I’m glad I got out of there when I did. <br><br>Also, if you’re the waiter from that teppanyaki place, let’s not meet again.
