Unemployment is now 3.5% in the USA, it was 3.7% last month. I can’t fathom how low 3.5% is. If there were ever a good time to ask for a raise, this is it.

Edit 1hr: Let me just say, that I love this sub, but holy shit. There are tons and tons of good discussions happening here, but there are some 300+ assholes who downvote every comment they can, just for the sake of downvoting. This is what’s wrong with Reddit.

Edit 2hr: For those of you wondering why this is important, it’s because our government is trying to slow down hiring and wages by raising interest rates. So far, they have failed to do so. Wages have grown, jobs are still being added, and long term interest rates have actually dropped. Whether you personally agree with this, or not, the news in this thread is of great importance to our economy and the greater politics surrounding it. The main goal of the Fed is to prevent hyper-inflation and to ensure maximum employment. So far, they have failed to do both. That’s a pretty big deal, and it’s why people are discussing it.
