I'm just putting this out there because I never thought about anything like this before.

Just reading about the philosophy of lore, my first thought is that it didn't make sense for Harry Potter to be considered a type of lore. Harry Potter isn't really based off of anything else. Then I realized that Harry Potter is an example of lore for two reasons.

Firstly Harry Potter isn't based on anything else, but it is also the driving force behind countless other pieces of media.

Secondly many of the ideas in Harry Potter are based off of historical mythology, such as werewolves and vampires and the use of magic to create certain objects such as the sorcerer's stone and the elder wand.
