I can't believe they gave me this job

I was in a department store talking with a supervisor, and he was asking me about any other jobs I had. I told him about the jobs I had in security and landscaping. He then asked me about military service or police. I told him I was never in the military or the police. He said I should be any of these things because I "looked the type" and I was "the right height". I got the job. I didn't even get a drug test or background check, I was a temp worker at the time but he said that I was going to be a store employee now. I didn't even see it coming and didn't care because I got the job, free training, and it was a 70% raise. I have never stolen anything from this store when I was an employe except for the food at the cafeteria. The cafeteria doesn't keep track of who takes what, and they don't scan the food. So if I was with an employee who had an employee discount card, then we could put that card in the register and get 30% off the food.
