Why do working class Americans hate the idea of universal healthcare when it would benefit them the most?

It would open opportunities for entrepreneurs, provide care for the chronically ill, and make being poor slightly more bearable. I personnaly am a victim of medical debt, I had a couple open heart surgeries and my family was left with a massive debt they can never repay.
