So, I went to Paris last weekend. We have had Covid restrictions where I am for a long time and I was super excited to finally travel again.

I visited all the standard sights like Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and a lot more.

But the thing I regret the most is visiting the catacombs.

I actually really like a good creepy and macabre stuff, and I have visited a lot of haunted mansions, haunted asylums, scary mazes etc.

So, I thought I would visit the Paris catacombs, and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

The tunnels were so full of trash, it was filled with empty plastic bottles, scrapped weed smokers and discarded cigarettes. it was honestly a little bit disgusting, and with the heat in paris combined with the smell down there, it was horrible.

But, the worst part of all was the bones.

So I do not know if any of you have been here, but the Paris catacombs are filled with millions of dead people. In every corner, there are stacked bones and skulls, like they just threw every dead body down there without a care in the world.

I am not going to lie, I had a panic attack. It was just so horrible to think about. Imagine just being dead and thrown in some tunnel under the ground and never be remembered again. Or imagine the people who had to move them. The skulls and bones down there are from people who lived in the 1600s and 1700s.

I left as soon as I could, and I can’t really recommend it.
