The concept of the glitch in the matrix is nonsense

I love old-school Philip K Dick sci-fi as much as the next guy, but I think it’s time to grow the eff up.

My (ex) wife used to tell me these stories of weird experiences she had throughout her childhood/teen years. Waking up in different places, being in the middle of a conversation and having no idea what was going on, seeing things that weren’t really there, etc. and no, she wasn’t on drugs for all of it.

I always brushed those experiences off for her because I didn’t (and still don’t) believe in the glitch in the matrix stuff.

Reading through this sub, however, it seems like there’s a lot of people who have had similar experiences to what my ex had.

I think it’s time to grow up and realize that we live in a real physical world. If you’re having weird experiences, it’s because of your brain/your body/your environment. It’s not because you’re living in a simulation.

If you’re having “glitches” it’s because of brain chemistry, brain damage, drugs, or some combo of the three. That’s it. It’s not because you’re special or because you saw a movie with Keanu Reeves in it.
