I (30F) post my meals on Instagram, so I usually spend a good amount of time making them and decorating. This also makes it a waste of time to help my extended family with their meals. My husband (33M) and I have two small children.

My SIL (31F) came over one day when I was busy with work and thought it'd be a good idea to "help" me with my kids, which in reality meant me having to clean up after her. She also stole my lunch. I politely declined her offer to help in the future.

A couple of days ago I made a delicious meal, so I sat down with my husband and kids to enjoy it. We heard a knock on the door and it was my SIL. She saw the food and asked if she could stay and "help us enjoy it". I said no and closed the door. She started leaving dishes out after coming over to help with the kids, so I established a routine for her to clean after each time. This has been going on for a few weeks now.

I made another delicious meal today and sat down with my family again, but my SIL knocked on the door. She asked what I was making and when I told her she said she'd stay if I let her help us enjoy it. I said no again, but this time she got upset and said that since I didn't share my time or my money with the family, she expected me to share this meal. I told her no and she threw a tantrum outside my door while my kids were in it.
