I can finally talk about what happened to me and my family (trigger warning)

First of all, for everyone asking me to go to the hospital. The closest hospital is an hour and a half away. We are a car-less family due to me accidentally hitting a car with my SUV. The police said that the man who attacked me and my daughter got into our house through the window. He was hiding under my daughters bed. She was sleeping in her room. I was sleeping in my room. I woke up to her screaming. I ran to her room. I saw her on the floor. Her hands were cuffed, she was bleeding from her vagina. She was screaming. I saw the man behind me. I tried to fight him but he was stronger than me. He was bigger than me. He hit me until I passed out. The next morning, I woke up. My head was killing me. I was so confused. I saw my daughter. She was crying. I asked her what happened. She said the man who was hiding under her bed came out of her room, cuffed her hands, he was holding a knife, he threatened her. He took off her pajamas and he raped her. She said he was saying disgusting and fucked up things to her during the attack. He was telling her to stop crying or he would stab her. She was begging him to stop. She said she was very scared. After he finished raping her, he slapped her and she fainted. The police said they caught the man who did this to us. His name is Stephen and he is 41 years old. He has a wife and kids. The police are saying this case will not be easy to win because the guy hasn't had any history of doing this before and his wife is going to lie for him. She already said he was with her at the time of the incident. The police said the man who attacked me and my daughter has connections to law enforcement so they will do anything to cover up for him. The police arrested me and my daughter because we are threats to this mans freedom. The cops said we might kill him. So, we are in jail. We will have court tomorrow. After the court hearing, we are going to a shelter. I am very worried about the outcome of this case. I am scared they will let him go and he will come after us.
