LPT: Always ask for the senior discount

At 51, I'm well into the senior phase of my life. I get all sorts of senior discounts at places like restaurants (10% off), stores (10% off), gas (5-10 cents off a gallon), and movies (a dollar off). <br><br>When I go through the drive thru at McDonalds, for example, I'll ask for the senior discount and they'll give me 10% off my meal. Sure, I'm already buying a dollar menu meal, but I'll take all the help I can get.<br><br>It's funny to see the looks on the young cashiers' faces when I ask for the senior discount. I usually just say something like, "I look old enough, right? Do you give everybody the discount now?" <br><br>They usually laugh and say something like, "Yeah, we give 'em all the discount." <br><br>That's code for, "We don't know if we're allowed to, but hell with it."
