When students grow up

In my 17th year as a teacher, I've been running into former students. I've moved to a part of the country far from where I taught, and have only run into one former student (he's doing great) in that time. <br><br>I recently moved back to the area where I taught, and am seeing/running into former students...it's actually the best feeling in the world. Seeing them as adults, so confident and proud, doing great things, it gives me perspective. It makes me realize we all get through the crappy times, and the good times eventually come.<br><br><br>Edit: thank you so much for the awards! I'm glad I could inspire warm feelings. ❤
