My wife [M29] keeps calling me [M29] a ‘girl man’.

I have been married for 10 years and things have gotten very tense. I’ve always been a bit on the slender side, self conscious about my height, and short hair isn’t my thing. My wife, bless her heart, has reminded me of these things for years. She never says anything mean about other people, but whenever she talks about men in general, she starts off by saying ‘girl men’ before mentioning whatever it is that she has to say. The term ‘girl men’ made me feel horrible and she always reiterates that I am a ‘girl man’ when she uses the term. I’m just a bit confused about the term.

Edit: I took a deep breath and calmly asked her about this last night. I’m not in one of those happy places. I’m in a dark place. I feel like I’ve been mind fucked.

Edit: I didn’t expect this to get so many upvotes. Thank you for all of the advice and kind words. I’m in the process of buying a house for myself, and I have decided to start by separati g us financially and then go from there. It’s going to be a long road to happiness but I will get there eventually.
