*NYC teacher here* Any advice on how to explain what’s going on in NYC to my students?

I’m going to be meeting with my principal and a few teachers tomorrow to get the message out to students. With some of our parents for the last few years calling us “groomers” and the like, we want to make sure that we haven’t inadvertently made a situation worse by what we say. <br><br>The other question is how to do this without seeming to approve of the action or disapprove of it?
