I was almost kidnapped by a facebook friend from 2016

I had made an old Facebook friend in 2016 for the purpose of online gaming, after a few months of talking I realized one day she was getting too obsessive over me and I decided to end our friendship, I had never met her in person before and never tell her where I live. Since then she had constantly message me on Facebook or Instagram asking if we can meet up “just for a day” or “I’m in town for a bit it’ll be cool to meet up” I had just ignored for years, but at the end of 2020 I got accepted into a college on the other side of the state, she started to message me again on Instagram but this time was different she had a picture of one of my stickers on her car saying she’s in the area. I didn’t know what to think of it so I ignored it, she started getting more aggressive with her messages, she had sent about 50 texts a day roughly with random threatening messages or random things she wanted me to send her. I had finally blocked her on everything but the next day I got a call from an unknown number it was her, she had my number all this time and was waiting for me to send her my number, I had to block her number too, she had started to make new accounts on multiple social media platforms to message me, and send me random gifts. I was so scared one day she might actually show up. <br><br>One night I woke up, turned my phone on to see I had got a packages in the mail. I thought it was weird because I had ordered nothing, I had went to look at it and it had a note that said “I’m in town for a bit I thought we could meet up soon, I got you something to show you care” I had looked at the package and there was a pair of shoes and a blanket, I had to take out the trash so I decided to put it in the dumpster, about an hour later I got a call from a number I didn’t recognize, it was my neighbors telling me a girl was trying to break into my apartment, I told them I wasn’t home and was staying at my friends but she insisted that she had just talked to me about letting my friends stay for a night, I was so confused and scared a little, I knew I didn’t talk to my neighbors about any of this, I told her just call the police, I got a call from the police about 10 minutes later, saying they got her and they were going to keep her in jail overnight because they found a bat and a pocket knife on her. I had to go to court and press charges, I didn’t want to but the police officer told me that this could get worse if I didn’t. I had pressed charges for harassment, attempted forced entry, and attempted kidnapping. She had got a year in prison for it. <br><br>I don’t know if she’s out yet but I don’t want to find out, I just want to say I’m glad this turned out the way it was and not worse, she is definitely someone I don’t ever want to meet, and I hope anyone who has gone through anything like this can get themselves to safety.<br><br>EDIT: I didn’t think this story would get so much traction, I appreciate everyone’s support and I’m sorry if I didn’t respond to your comment it’s been a lot of notifications, and to everyone who’s saying she was crazy for meending me this, we all go through shit and that doesn’t make someone crazy.
