I (15m) live with my parents. I used to live with my grandparents because my parents weren’t able to take care of me. But about a year ago my grandparents said that they wanted to retire and travel and that I should go back to live with my parents. So I did.

My parents made promises that they would take care of me properly and that I would have a normal life with them. But nothing of that happened. They wouldn’t buy me anything I needed or liked. They only cared about their careers. They only cared about money and work. I couldn’t even get a hair cut. My mom was very mean to me and wouldn’t feed me properly and would say that I was ugly and fat and would call me disgusting. I stopped growing.

My grandparents came to visit me. I told them what my parents were doing to me. They said that they couldn’t do anything but they said that they wouldn’t let my parents keep me any longer and that I could come back home to them. So I waited.

They didn’t come to see me again and they didn’t call to say that they would come to see me. But I waited. After a couple of months I couldn’t wait anymore. I had no friends. I was weak and hungry all the time and I was sad and scared. I couldn’t take it anymore and I packed my bag and I went home to my grandparents.

I didn’t tell my parents that I was leaving. I thought they might try to stop me. So I surprised them. I said that they could keep their promises now. But they weren’t happy that I had left. They shouted at me and they said that they never wanted me to come home to them. That they already told me that I shouldn’t come here. They told me to go outside and that they would call me a taxi.

I’m with my grandparents now and they’ve fed me and cleaned me up. They took me to a hairdresser and I got my hair cut. I was so happy. They were happy to see me happy. But my parents keep calling and saying that I did wrong. They said that I had no right to break their peace and go into their house. That they were only trying to teach me something.

AITA?
