My name is Nathan and i am 17 years old, i live with my friend Will in a house we lease from a guy we know. It is in a pretty nice, though a bit newer area. There are still a lot of houses which aren't built yet, so there is some construction as well as other people around here.

So what happened yesterday, was that i was sitting at home playing some dota2 and my friend was sitting in his room. He eventually came out and was like "Yo, do you smell that" i couldn't smell anything at this point though. He walked into the kitchen, where he eventually found out that someone had left the stove on, low and behold; There was a big ass flame coming out of it.

He quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher and started spraying it at the fire, he burned his face a bit doing this, but it could have been way worse if he didn't act so quickly. I eventually smelled the smoke, though i was too dumb to notice before hand lol.

He later went outside for some fresh air, and that is where the story starts to get weird for me.

So i was still in my room, playing dota. when i heard a knock on the door, i thought this was my friend who may have locked himself out. I walked down to the door and LO! and behold, there was this weird guy who could not have lived around here. I didn't really register this at the time though.

He told me that he saw all of the smoke, and wanted to make sure everything was okay. i was like "yeah, the stove caught on fire" and he was like "Yeah i thought it was a fire, so i came to check it out". He eventually said that the door next to the front door was open just a bit, and he needed to get in because the house was on fire and we might not have noticed.

Still being ditsy, i was like sure whatever... and thanked him. He eventually walked through the neighborhood, real shady like.

I am 100% sure that if my friend will didn't burn that flame away as fast as he did, and if he didn't come back to the house like he did. That there would not have been anyone in the house to say that the door had been lock, and that "the people inside might not know that the house is on fire". My friend really saved us both here, and possibly his life. Thank you buddy.

EDIT:
Wow, this blew up more than i thought it would. I am glad you all enjoyed it, this is my first post on reddit. I don't have many creepy stories like this, but i will try to make an effort to share them all with you.
