AITA for cancelling the entire vacation when I found out that my stepdaughters deliberately hid my daughter's passport to get her to stay home?

I've been married to my wife for 5 years. I have a pre-teen daughter and she has two stepdaughters. My daughter is 11, while stepdaughters are 9/7.

We were planning a family vacation and my wife was in charge of packing everyone's passports. I asked my daughter to send her passport to my wife so that she could pack it. My daughter sent her passport but his stepdaughters opened it and took the passport out to make it seem that my wife never received it. They hid my daughter's passport so that she wouldn't have it and kept lied to my wife that my daughter must not have sent it. This was their "plan" to get my wife to not go on the vacation and stay home. They hated spending time with me or my daughter and wanted to stay home with their mom and watch tv.

After they were caught hiding my daughter's passport my stepdaughters tried to say they did it as "a joke". They were at serious risk of getting their screen time privileges taken away and being punished by their mom.

When my wife told me she was really upset because she had planned the trip for a week from that day and was looking forward to it. I then said "if you hadn't wanted to go maybe you and your daughters wouldn't have tried to stop me from going. I'll get another date, so its cancelled for now." I meant that my wife and kids could go but not her stepdaughters. I then got blasted by all 3 for cancelling the vacation because of two kids being grounded. I said that if they wanted to go they would have told my wife that my daughter had sent her passport.

AITA?
