AITA for wearing the "joke" bathing suit my friend got me?

So it was my birthday couple months ago. Had a party. Got some gifts. My friend "Mandy" for me a "super cute" bathing suit. I liked it. She was happy. <br><br>It was a little Risqué but I liked it. <br><br>Anyway. We went to the beach a couple weeks later. I wore the bathing suit she got me. <br><br>She was like, "uh, is that for real?" Yeah, I'm going to swim. Why?<br><br>She seemed really embarrassed. I didn't get why. I asked her to tell me what was up. She said, "it's just a joke! I didn't think you'd actually wear it". I was like, yeah - it's a great bathing suit. Thanks. <br><br>Anyway, she's been blowing me up non stop since that day that I'm such an asshole for wearing it. That it was a gag gift. I think she got called out as an asshole for a week and now is trying to flip the script. <br><br>Anyways. AITA for wearing the bathing suit?<br><br>EDIT: It was a thong bathing suit for context. <br><br>EDIT2: We're both early 20s if that matters.<br><br>EDIT3: I'm a woman btw. Was wearing it to the beach with a few other girls and "Mandy" there too. <br><br>EDIT4: "Mandy" has reached out and said to delete it or she'll tell everyone at work that I posted my own bathing suit on Reddit.
