My dad just told my 7 year old brother that I was in an accident and died, to see how he reacted. Is this normal?

When I was just out of my teenage years I had a couple of near death experiences. One was very bad and I had a brain hemorrhage and almost died. So my dad told my brother that I had died. My dad said it was just to see how my 7 year old brother would react. I just recently learned this and it bothers me because I was already really badly hurt and he was saying I died. I pretend to be dead in his family and he does with mine sometimes, but this time he was just testing my brother's reaction. I'm only angry because it was a bad incident and he told my 7 year old brother that I had died, after a really bad accident.
