Is it moral to have kids?

I think it’s not. I don’t mean people shouldn’t be allowed to have kids but I think it’s a morally detestable act to continue the human species. I think that unless we kill the human race in the next few decades we’ll be headed in a chaotic downfall and more suffering for a large portion of the population. It’s not like most people who are having kids are thinking about this though, it’s more of an instinctual drive. Like they know it’s gonna be hard and there’s responsibilities but they should have kids. I think that’s really selfish. I’m setting aside the fact that we can’t take care of the children we already have and the growing awareness of climate change. What’s in it for the next generation? If you bring these kids into the world they could either suffer through a horrible climate situation, be in immense debt somehow, or if the human species suddenly undergoes a massive upheaval of society, culture, science, etc there could be a massive loss of life and chaos. I just can’t imagine how having a kid on purpose is a moral act when there are so many variables at play that could lead to suffering.
