How close is Google Bard to what we have (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.)?

Hey folks, just a general question here. Am I making a mistake, or do I believe Google Bard is significantly closer to what we all ready have now?

It appears to be an extremely watered down version of what we've come to expect from ChatGPT. It takes 3-4x longer to give a response, with much, much more watered responses. It would be crazy to compare it to what we have with ChatGPT.

It's got the ability to send emails, but I'm already able to do that with ChatGPT. Google Bard has a "new" feature that allows it to create images (AI Draw), but we've already had that for a while now, and with much higher quality (Midjourney).

I'm honestly ready to say we're a few months away from Google Bard being on the shelf and left to collect dust. I'm sure they'll keep it around, but I think it's already falling behind. Especially if ChatGPT continues to evolve at the rate it is.

Am I just deluded? Or am I making a proper observation?
