People who say "humans weren't meant to work" have no basic understanding of how a society functions.

The first person to say "Yeah I'm gonna hunt for my own food instead of buying it" or "I'm gonna make my own clothes instead of buying it" will be the first person to realize we as humans were made to work for the survival of ourselves, and the species as a whole. Humans also WEREN'T meant to have large houses, drive, have cars, have as many children as some of us do, and other things we as humans do.

The argument "Let's just give everyone $15 hr and make everything free" also makes me laugh. You can't give everyone $15 and keep everything at the same price. You need to understand when people get more money, businesses lose money hiring and paying for employees. So if we are to tack on the extra $5 hr to fast food workers and any other job making under $15, we as consumers are going to have to pay that extra $5 through higher prices or higher taxes.

Another issue is people saying minimum wage doesn't keep up with inflation. That's because your minimum wage job was meant for a teenager or someone who is working to supplement their income. When you have a full blown adult trying to survive off of minimum wage, you have a problem and the minimum wage argument holds less water.

The last point I have is, yes there is a HUGE wage gap between minimum wage workers and CEO's and there is a HUGE problem with billionaires. I'm not defending them, what I am saying is the solution is not to give everyone free handouts. The solution is to make it easier for everyone to climb the socio-economic ladder.
