Will I go to hell for murdering a man?

I’m Christian and I shot and killed a man in self defense. I was being robbed at gunpoint and I had a weapon on me. I had to shoot him before he could shoot me but I’m afraid I’m going to hell. I can’t tell people because they will call me a psycho and a murderer no matter the circumstance.
