Many of us who are going to vote Biden have never liked Biden. We know he is a flawed candidate. Here are the reasons why we are voting for him anyway.

1: **He's not Donald Trump.**<br><br>He has a brain. He can read. He is intelligent enough to function as president. He's not an asshole narcissist and he knows how to connect with people. No doubt Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were better candidates, but not all presidents are going to be perfect. And even if they aren't perfect, 3.7% unemployment, low crime, a healthy economy, a peaceful world are not the worst things.<br><br>2: **The Democratic party controlled senate will block the worst of his agenda.**<br><br>If you think Biden is going to do something you dislike (I think he's going to disappoint on legalizing weed), the Democratic party is going to keep him in line. The reason Trump got away with so much BS is because Republicans are much more willing to do whatever their president wants than Dems.<br><br>3: **Electing Biden won't be a mandate for his agenda.**<br><br>When Trump won, he immediately launched his agenda which was widely unpopular. The reason he was able to do this was because he said his agenda was the mandate from the people. Biden will not have that mandate as the vast majority of Americans have never liked him. Biden won't have the mandate to do anything. The Democratic Party will be fully in control.<br><br>4: **Trump's re-election will embolden him to do anything he wants.**<br><br>As we saw from 2016 to 2020, Trump's trickle of bullshit was just a warm-up to his waterfall of bullshit from 2020 to 2024. If he wins, he'll be fully off the chain and there will be nothing anyone can do to stop him. He'll probably lock up all of his enemies, he'll sell the country out to the highest bidder, he'll install his family in positions of power. It will be a full-on dictatorship. **If Trump wins, get ready for war.**<br><br>5: **The Left will have more power in the Democratic Party if Biden wins.**<br><br>We've seen the last year that even though Biden is a centrist, Leftists in the Democratic party can push him to the Left. He has adopted many of Bernie's and Warren's ideas. The Left has never been stronger than it is now. We still have a lot of work to do, but if Trump wins, the Left will be shut out of power.<br><br>6: **A Biden win will be a horrible loss for Trump.**<br><br>The backstabbing, the finger-pointing, the infighting. The Republican party will be in absolute shambles. And Trump will go into full meltdown mode. Who knows what he will do after he loses. It will be glorious.<br><br>7: **Trump's defeat will be a large repudiation of white nationalism and Trumpism.**<br><br>There is no doubt that Trumpism is a disaster. Even Republicans admit this. A Biden win will be a full-on rejection of Trumpism and white nationalism. It will cement Trumpism as a failed ideology as Confederate ideology is seen through the lens of history. Future generations will laugh at Trumpism and the deplorables that believed in it.<br><br>8: **Trump is too unstable to be trusted with the nuclear codes.**<br><br>Trump is a psycho and he's getting worse. He's on a path to go full-on authoritarian. He could start a nuclear war at any moment. The world will be a safer place without Trump.<br><br>9: **We have to think of future generations.**<br><br>If Trump wins, the damage he will do to democracy, the environment, and the economy will be absolute. As long as Biden stays out of the way, it won't be that bad. The world will not be destroyed if Biden wins. It may however be destroyed if Trump wins.<br><br>10: **The Left will have more power outside of the Democratic Party if Biden wins.**<br><br>If Trump wins, Trumpism will become more extreme if he's re-elected. If Trump loses, Trumpism will die out and its extremism will be discredited. This means the Left will have more power to organize outside of the Democratic Party without fear of Trumpism. If Trump wins, the Left will be in a much weaker position.<br><br>Biden is not a great candidate, no one denies that. But Trump winning again is one of the worst-case scenarios for our planet. Future generations will not forgive us if we allow Trump to win again.
